Our most popular “goldilocks” medium roasts. It is balanced yet full of flavor, making it a perfect all-occasion brew.

This coffee is near and dear to our hearts, as it is named after a very special place to us, the Fazenda Santana (St Ana’s Farm in english). We spent a lot of time at this family farm and we held our wedding ceremony in the small country chapel on its grounds and reception in an outdoor space with 360° views of coffee fields.

Flavor notes: Praline, honey, chocolate, sugar cane, caramel

Process: Natural

ABOUT THE FAZENDA SANTANA

The Fazenda Santana coffee farm produces award-winning specialty coffee, and we believe the quality is due to the special cultivation from the irrigation from on-site natural mineral-rich spring water wells and of course the care that is taken by those closest to our family.

Both the farm and beans are certified UTZ, which is a program for sustainable farming of coffee, tea, cocoa, and hazelnuts. The program is part of the Rainforest Alliance, an international non-profit organization working to create a better future for people and nature. Organic certification is underway and expected in 2023.

The farm is located at an altitude of 1,050 meters above sea level and an estimated average slope of 14%. The region is rich in mineral water. The farm has mineral water tanks designed to supply irrigated agricultural activities from wells and natural sources throughout the year.

The soil is treated annually in order to best fit the needs of the of the eutrophic red-yellow argisol, eutrophic red argisol and dystrophic red latosol coffee plan types and enhance the productivity of the coffee plantation.

Beyond coffee production, the annual Festa Santana is the last Sunday in June that has been occurring for generations. While a mass is being held at the chapel at the Fazenda Santana, a pilgrimage is taking place where riders come on horses from far away and arrive for a final parade at the chapel. Afterward, all the locals come decked out in their boots, flannels, and hats for an all-day celebration with live auctions, festival games, stalls with local food and drink vendors and live music, pumping Sertaneja (Brazilian country music) into the early morning hours.
