We are hiring a Store Manager for our Gainesville, GA Location!


Two weeks paid time off. (Accrued) Lots of free drinks and discounts. A Costco/Sam’s Club membership. All the fun.


Store working hours are anticipated to be 6:30am - 4:30 pm (Open 7-4). Candidate is expected to work approximately 40 hrs/wk. Available for opens, closes, weekdays and weekends. Majority of time will be spent behind the counter; approx 30% time on operational/admin tasks: store purchasing, inventory, reporting, and conducting training as needed.

Duties include performing and modeling all barista expectations in addition to:

- Ensuring all store inventory management, ordering, weekly purchasing errands take place.

- Ensuring cash management takes place with accuracy.

- Upholding cleanliness and organization of the store.

- Ensuring scheduling and all shift coverage takes place.

- Regularly reachable by owners and staff to ensure any shift coverage, inventory management, store crises are addressed. Filling in and delegating when available, with support from owners.

- Employee care and mentorship.

- Hiring new baristas.

- Coordinating and managing catering orders.

- Upholding the quality standards of baristas and training.

- Ensuring, as far as it depends on us, that every transaction is a positive customer experience. Customer recovery.

- All unlisted store management duties, with training and support by owner. Weekly supervision meetings with owner(s).

Our Company:

Boarding Pass Coffee is a family owned and operated coffee company. We have a specialty small-batch coffee roasting operation and two coffee shop locations -- one in Milton, GA and a soon to be opened location on the square in Gainesville, GA. Our mission is to let guests travel through coffee serving the best coffees from around the world in a travel-inspires setting. We roast only single-origin specialty-grade coffee and serve a variety of espresso beverages, teas, sweets and light eats. Our Milton location is the roastery and center of packaging/shipping operations and main tasting room. Our Gainesville location includes a coffee lab where coffee tastings are conducted (on a reservation basis).

Ownership measures success by the depth of our connection to our communities and providing coffee as an experience. Product and service excellence is expected, and ambitiously pursued.

What We’re Looking For:

We expect the Gainesville Store Manager to provide exceptional, personable service to customers and to facilitate the best-possible working environment for our baristas. We expect the manager to lead by example, and be the model of barista expectations, with no tasks below their paygrade.

Relevant qualifications include: Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. Excellent time management skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other foodservice guidelines (ServSafe cerification preferred but not required). 

Previous coffee and/or cafe management experience preferred.
