Community support

At Boarding Pass Coffee, we believe that our mission goes beyond serving exceptional coffee—it’s about uplifting the communities we are part of. That’s why we are proud to support meaningful organizations and causes that create lasting impact. We partner with Partners For Care, the Milton First Responders Foundation, and Beacon USA.

Through these partnerships, we continue our commitment to connection, compassion, and community.

Partners for Care (PFC) is a compassion-driven, faith-based non-profit founded in 2007 by social worker and nurse Connie Cheren after she witnessed the harsh realities facing children in Kenya.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, and operating on the ground in Kenya (and some neighboring countries), PFC is dedicated to providing hope and health by offering sustainable solutions to poverty, preventable disease, and lack of access to basic necessities.

What they do

PFC’s programs include:

  • WaterSafe: Distributing specially designed water storage and purification packs to prevent waterborne illness—already reaching hundreds of thousands of students via more than 1,500 schools in Kenya, Uganda & South Africa.

  • Mobility Carts: Providing adaptive equipment to people with disabilities in Kenya, and creating jobs via local manufacturing of mobility devices.

  • Computer Schools: Establishing over 30 computer-literacy schools so community members gain digital skills and better employment opportunities.

  • Bed Nets: Distributing insect-treated bed nets to reduce malaria among vulnerable populations.

  • Sewing Schools & Women’s Empowerment: Training thousands of women (including in prisons) in sewing and production, enabling income generation and sustainable community development.

Why it matters

PFC is committed to sustainability and local leadership: all their initiatives are Kenyan-led, and nearly all U.S. donations go directly toward field programs rather than U.S. overhead.

Milton First Responders Foundation (MFRF) is a volunteer-run nonprofit based in Milton, Georgia, committed to “supporting those who serve.” miltonfirstresponders.org
Its mission is to provide resources, support, and recognition to the city’s first responders—firefighters, EMTs, law enforcement, and other emergency personnel—so that they can continue their vital work in the community with the backing they deserve.

What they do

  • MFRF offers grants, programs, and partnerships that directly assist the first responder community: equipment, training, wellness initiatives, etc.

  • They encourage community engagement and provide multiple ways for individuals and businesses to help—whether via donations, volunteering, or participating in tax-credit eligible giving opportunities.

  • Their foundation board is entirely volunteer-led, ensuring that donor funds are directed fully toward mission activities rather than overhead.

Why this matters

First responders face high-stress, risky environments daily. By supporting them, MFRF helps ensure that those who protect the community have the resources, backup, and community recognition they need—thereby enhancing community safety, morale, and resilience.

BEACON USA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing urgent, compassionate support to the families of veterans and first responders who have died — especially in cases of suicide. Their mission is to offer bereavement, emergency assistance and care of next-of-kin for these families.

What they do

  • They assist immediate families of veterans and first responders — spouses, children, dependent relatives — after loss of life in uniformed service.

  • They provide financial assistance, funeral aid, and biohazard cleanup services in these difficult situations.

  • BEACON USA states that up to 90% of donations go directly to families in need, emphasizing a strong focus on channeling donor funds to immediate impact rather than overhead.

Why this matters

Families of veterans and first responders face immense emotional and financial stress when a loved one dies in service — especially in cases of suicide, where stigma and unexpected costs can compound the trauma. BEACON USA fills a critical gap by stepping in with practical and compassionate support during these crises.
